八十年戰爭（Eighty Years' War, or Dutch Revolt）發生於1568年－1648年，是荷蘭（即尼德蘭聯邦，荷蘭只是聯邦七省之一，不過多數以荷蘭稱呼之）清教徒反抗西班牙統治所展開。該戰爭也是荷蘭的獨立戰爭。與西班牙不同，荷蘭所屬尼德蘭本為鬆散聯邦，為了此戰爭，聯邦出現前所未有的團結，而領導者為尼德蘭總督威廉。

經過多次海戰後，荷蘭與西班牙於1609年簽訂12年的停戰協定，不過，雙方在海上競爭仍未停止。1621年，停戰協定屆滿，兩國戰爭又起，直到1648年，尼德蘭聯邦共和國才真正脫離西班牙統治而正式獨立。
