和諧編輯俱樂部的計畫在2003年12月時由en:User:Ed Poor所提出，並在此後穩定的成長。我們已經有非常多成功的案例 - 參閱我們的和諧編輯榮譽殿堂。

- 決不還原超過一次 — 永遠在討論頁中協商
- 避免挑起筆戰 — 事先在討論頁中協商主要的（也許有爭議的）變動。
- 必要時詢求廣泛大眾的意見 (e.g., at Peer review, Requests for comment, Requests for page protection, Village pump, etc.)
- 禮貌的提醒其他人不要使用辱罵的言詞，keeping wikiquette and civility in mind at all times.
- Refactor talk pages 當內容變得太冗長且雜亂。

我希望能在維基百科中籌辦某種俱樂部，大體就像之前半開玩笑的「維基義勇軍」那樣，一群會一起介入編輯戰中、合作撰寫一篇可信且中立的文章的貢獻者，使得在筆戰中的每個人皆認同並且讚許，同時感到滿意。
這些俱樂部成員會用例子來說明如何以和諧且有益的的方式來撰稿。這些成員自己會堅守「你只能還原一次」的原則。他們在編輯文章之前會在討論頁中提出選擇。他們甚至可能在更改前會花一個小時或一天的時間來等待別人的同意。
這些俱樂部成員會禮貌的提醒其他人不要在討論頁中使用辱罵的言詞。當爭吵太冗長且混亂的時候他們會refactor talk。
